To arrive by car
Driving North or South along the A19, leave at the Northallerton exit and follow the signs to Osmotherley. Leave your car in the village and walk due North in the direction of Swainby.
After about 300m from the center of the village, on the left hand side of the road, is the the beginning of Rueberry Lane. It is also indicated by a Cleveland Way signpost. Follow Rueberry Lane for about one mile up a steep rough track, bearing right at the fork, and you will arrive at the chapel.
Please note that there is no public right of way for motor vehicles along Rueberry Lane.
Visitors should have adequate footwear to tackle the walk. Special arrangements can be made for pilgrims who cannot manage the walk. Please contact the Monastery prior to your arrival.
To arrive by foot
There is also a path from the car park at the Mount Grace Priory ruins close to the A19 and, although the walk from the village of Osmotherley is easier, there is a certain charm in following the same track almost certainly used by the Carthusian monks to make their way from the priory to the Lady Chapel.
The Chapel can also be approached as a small diversion off the Cleveland Way when walking in a southerly direction towards Osmotherley.
Ordnance Survey maps of the area around Osmotherley, probably essential if one is walking in the area, can be purchased at the local shops.
